What Is The Book Based On?

Homer

Homer was an ancient Greek poet that wrote the Iliad and the Odyssey. They think he lived in a Greek speaking city on the eastern shore of the Aegean Sea or on the island of Khios. Some think he was blind. The Iliad and the Odyssey where based on a war between Troy and Greece in about 1200 B.C.E. The poems discribe things found in ancient Greece and Troy, but the poems where altered over the centuries. Greek children used the poems to learn about ancient myths of Greece.

Olivia

Olivia Ensor Coolage was born on October 16th, 1908, in London, England. She graduated Oxford University with her bachelors degree in arts in 1931, and her masters in 1940. Her second book was Men Of Athens, which won a Newbury Honor Award in 1963. She was known for her accuracy and attention to detail. Her biography's such as Gandhi, Eugine O'Neil, and Tom Paine, Revolutionary, where said to have vivid portraits, and that the facts speak fr themselves.
